Dorothy Pearl Butler Gilliam (born November 24, 1936) is an American journalist who in 1961 was the first African-American female reporter at The Washington Post. Her daughter, Dr. Melissa L. Gilliam became Boston University’s eleventh president on July 1, 2024. |
